Even the Antarctic Ice Sheets are Cracking up

Hello! We are wrapping up our H2O class to give farewell to our first term at GCE, and to give a proper goodbye we have decided to make a large Action Project for a big finale. For our last AP in this class, we were adventurous as we decided to make a slideshow about a country, its climate, weather, and how it will be impacted by the rising CO2 ppm and climate change! This unit was mostly about the weather, climate change, and clouds. We learned about exponents, number lines, absolute value, and how to convert between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin! We didn't really go out for our FE's (Field Experiences) for this unit, instead, they came to us. We had three guest speakers come in to speak with us; Mark Mesle who is concerned about the climate, Ian a meteorologist, and Holly an environmental engineer from the EPA. From the three guest speakers we had, we learned many things about climate and the weather and what we can do to help. They also helped answer some questions we had to finish our AP's.

I have learned many things after completing the AP, I actually didn't know how bad the situation in the atmosphere was becoming. I think many people should be better informed about climate change and its effects, as well as how weather and clouds play a part into everything. I am quite proud of how this AP turned out, I put a lot of effort and time into it and I think it paid off. I always try to do better than I have before and I can confidently say I think this is one of my best AP's so far. I gathered a lot of information and organized it quite well, though if I were to do this project again I think I would have taken my own pictures because the citations page is very long and it took forever!
