A Spotty Situation

Hello and welcome to the second AP (Action Project) for our class, Population. In this unit, we have been learning about combinations and permutations, factorials, scientific theory, evolution, and statistics. We went on an FE (Field Experience) to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum to explore how conservation leads to new discoveries at the Beecher Lab, see first hand the variations between the species at the museum, and how butterflies adapt to new surroundings.

For this AP we were allowed to keep the same animal that we explored last unit or branch out to another, either way, we were asked to create a hypothetical situation that forces our animals to evolve through natural selection. Here is what I have done, and I hope you enjoy!

This was a grand adventure to take with the Northern Giraffe! I loved learning about how animals have to adapt to different surroundings and learning about giraffes, in general, is very interesting. If I were to do this project again I think I would go more into depth of the giraffe's past evolution and put less extra work on myself. Thank you so much for reading!
